You have something to say. But you don't speak the language.
That great idea in your head? That essence of 'Brand You'? That message you want shot straight to the heart of your potential clients and customers? You need a way to get it from you to them, and in the nanosecond it takes to glance at a business card or click on a link.
Allow me to translate. I can help get that idea rattling around in your brain onto a piece of paper (or its electronic equivalent). I can take your brilliant glimmerings and baby ideas and turn them into words and pictures that human beings understand: logos, letterhead, one-sheets, flyers.
How do I get there from here?
Experience, partly: before turning to design full-time, I learned a lot about other forms of communication. I was a copywriter at several major ad agencies in New York and Chicago. I wrote an Emmy®-nominated children's show for ABC-TV. I even supported myself as an actor here in L.A. for over eight years, doing commercials (of course).
But what separates me from a lot of designers is my love of parameters. I shouldn't admit this, but the more tightly I'm restricted to something, the more excited I get about coaxing genius from it.
So if we work together, you're not going to get something so pretty, everyone will compliment you.
You'll get something so 'you', everyone will want to know who did the translating...
